When I started this blog a few days ago I thought to myself ‘this should be relatively simple, it’s just rambling on the Internet and picking a nice theme, right?’.
Wrong.
I’ve been doing a some research into the best way to blog, the best way to drive traffic to your site, best topics… I have so much to learn…
As you will probably realise if you stick around on this potentially shortlived experiment into the blogosphere, I have no idea what I’m doing. With no specific theme that I want to stick to, prepare yourself for ramblings of the rambliest kind. I love sewing, food (eating and cooking) travel, shoes and University Challenge so for now this blog will be a bit of a muddle until it hopefully works it’s way into its own little happy blogger corner.
But for now, if there are any tips you have for a noob, please leave a comment below and stick around to watch the madness
Good luck to you, I have been blogging for a while and it’s fun. Blog often (but maybe not everyday) and interact with people. Write interesting stuff and comment on other people’s blogs and you will see people visiting yours.

I’m a beginner myself and it really isn’t as easy as it seems. It is actually really hard to find what to write about. Respect goes to the bloggers who can write longer and interesting blogs. ☺

I sort of started blogging hoping to direct people to my shops but now I just do it because I like it. I don’t really have any rules – I blog about different things and I write as if I’m talking to a friend. I don’t stress about blogging for blogging’s sake (although I did when I started) and so my blogs could come thick and fast or not for a while. I think, once you have followers, they don’t mind if you don’t blog every day – as a reader, I prefer it when people don’t as it would take me forever just to read everybody else’s blogs and I’m not so inclined to comment when posts are too frequent.
I sort of use my blog now as a journal and somewhere to post photographs – I sometimes look back at my own past posts and think ‘ah, yes! I remember that’. I’m glad if people enjoy reading it too but, mostly it’s for me to record my projects, failures and achievements, the occasional doggy post and to interact with people – it’s lonely here in rural France 😉
Enjoy yourself.
