#sewphotohop Day 16: Tiny vs big. The large reels (we believe) belonged to my great-grandmother who was a dressmaker, so that would make them about 75 years old. They are thick cotton so I use them for tacking as the thread is too thick for my Elna. The red thread is just the tiniest amount I have on a reel right now! I hate when thread gets low – the worry about whether you’ll make it to the end of your seam without running out is so stressful!
