August was a busy month but I don’t feel like I was as productive as I could have been. I don’t have much time in September either for many makes (as you can tell by the late post!) so it’s only a short list of plans for this month:
- Make a dress for a party. I have already started this and I needed it done for Saturday but as this post is late, the party has been and gone. I didn’t finish the dress in time – I tried it on and hated it but I want to try to rescue it if I can.
- New pyjamas. My beloved elephant pyjamas are on their last legs but I have fabric pre-washed and ready to go for a new set for autumn.
- Trousers. Yes, that old Simplicity 1696 chestnut… I have cut the pattern and am ready to make a muslin so I am further ahead than I was last month…
- Work on my #sewingthescene challenge entry. It’s probably a bit too simple an idea but I’m sticking with it!
August in review
Some of you may have seen on my instagram stories that I made another Seamwork Adelaide in an evening for the New Craft House summer party the following day. I went to the Sewing Weekender and finished a pair of Steeplechase leggings from FehrTrade. I also made another Burda t-shirt for Hayden’s birthday which thankfully he likes). Fingers crossed that all 3 makes will be on the blog by the end of the year haha!! I also completed a few blog posts and have a few more in the queue that are almost ready to go. I did think I’d made more in August but I guess I was just really busy!
Simplicity 1696 has been on my list for over a year now! Looks like a good plan!
