Me Made May 2018 – week 1

My first week of Me Made May is over and the results, if I am honest, are as expected. I was able to wear me-made every day, I desperately need more trousers and jeans and I still don’t like having my picture taken!

The thing I didn’t expect was that I have actually do enough tops to avoid repeating one for at least 2 weeks. When I look at my wardrobe it can sometimes be difficult to see exactly how much of it is now me-made, so I have been quite pleased to discover this! There are a few things that have remained untouched due to the weather and a few things that I already know that I need to re-purpose or donate. There are some obvious wardrobe gaps though. Aside from trousers, I could do with a few cardigans and maybe a couple more jersey tops too. I must confess though, I have felt a bit of a tit trying to take selfies discreetly on my lunch breaks – somehow when Hayden takes pictures for my blog it feels a lot less awkward!

I have included details of all me-mades worn in week 1 and underneath that I will link to all patterns featured! I deliberately have not included my bag as this is not a garment, but I did make this too (on the blog soon).

Closet Case Patterns Ginger jeans
Colette Sorbetto tank (a freebie!)
Sewaholic Granville shirt
New Look 6483 top (currently half price on sale)
