#sewphotohop Day 20: Seasonal. I basically wear the same thing all year round - big fan of layering! Always a top, cardigan and jacket! My new trenchcoat is autumnal on the outside, but summer all the way inside! (Keep your eyes peeled for more information on the blog soon!) (Please let me know if the … Continue reading #sewphotohop Day 20: Seasonal
#sewphotohop Day 19: Library
#sewphotohop Day 19: Library. I love sewing books and have a few that I go back to again and again. Some on this shelf are recent additions that need a proper thumb through under a blanket! I'm after any recommendations for books about trouser fitting though!
#sewphotohop Day 17 & Day 18: Knits or wovens/buttons or zips
#sewphotohop Day 17 & Day 18: Knits or wovens/buttons or zips. I don't wear a lot of clothes made from knits, and I don't really wear anything fitted enough to need a zip, so I'm going to go with buttons and wovens! That being said, I have a few knit fabric projects planned for the … Continue reading #sewphotohop Day 17 & Day 18: Knits or wovens/buttons or zips
#sewphotohop Day 16: wishlist
#sewphotohop Day 16: wishlist. I have lots of projects projects and fabrics on my wishlist - jeans that ACTUALLY fit are hopefully my next big project! The other big thing on my list is time! More time to sit and sew or write would be amazing. Somewhat ironically, I didn't post this yesterday because I … Continue reading #sewphotohop Day 16: wishlist
#sewphotohop Day 15: Sewing space

But I do have a giant window to sew next to and an even more enormous cutting table to work on, plus lots of room for books, patterns and my … Continue reading #sewphotohop Day 15: Sewing space
#sewphotohop Day 13: Gamechanger
#sewphotohop Day 13: Gamechanger. For me it has to be starting a blog in 2015. Through that and instagram I've discovered this amazing network of sewing people and considering I started it on a whim it's been so much better than I ever could have hoped!
#sewphotohop Day 12: Tips and techniques
#sewphotohop Day 12: Tips and techniques. My tip is to always fill your bobbin up completely with the colour you require - don't just top up a half full one! It uses thread more economically and also means you probably will always have a matching bobbin and thread!
#sewphotohop Day 11: Favourite tool
#sewphotohop Day 11: Favourite tool. This is my current favourite tool - a hem gauge! I bought it on a whim to make up enough to pay by card in a shop and I've used it so much since!
#sewphotohop Day 9: Dud
#sewphotohop Day 9: Dud. This was going to be a loose long shirt tunic type thing but it's just rubbish and now it lives in a pile behind my sewing machine where I pretend I can't see it...
#sewphotohop Day 8: Made for someone else
#sewphotohop Day 8: Made for someone else. I rarely sew for anyone else - partially because I'm rarely asked but also because when I don't get given a deadline I will put things off for ages 😂 but this (a Christmas 2015 present for @ponchomountain) will be finished and blogged soon!
